Eyes on Africa Safaris is a family-run safari outfitter based in Kenya, offering tailor-made journeys through Kenya, Tanzania, and Zanzibar since 2001. We’re proud to say we’re big enough to rely on—but small enough to care, crafting each trip with the kind of personal attention only a family business can offer.
But our story starts long before the bookings and itineraries.
Who We Are
Originally from Slovenia, Nevenka Lepenik and Roman Biondic founded Eyes on Africa after falling in love with Kenya on a trip that changed their lives. Welcomed into a Maasai community in the Masai Mara, they spent a year living in a traditional homestead—herding cattle, learning the land on foot, and being given Maasai names as part of their new extended family.
That early experience shaped everything they believed in: connection, cultural respect, and travel that goes beyond the surface.
With time, they built their company from the ground up—first in Nairobi, then later on Kenya’s coast where they raised their two children. In the Loita Hills, they brought a long-held dream to life: Maji Moto Eco Camp, a cultural retreat designed to celebrate Maasai traditions, create opportunities for the community, and share this way of life with respectful travelers.
Today, Eyes on Africa continues to grow—still rooted in the same values, still run by the same family, and still passionate about creating private, authentic, and unforgettable safaris that honour both the land and its people.
